Adaptive Leadership
The Institute for Advanced Pastoral Studies (IAPS) is a congregationally based program in theological education led by Christ Church Cranbrook and Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit. Our guiding vision is that exercising Christian leadership means building the Beloved Community by bridging significant racial, ethnic, religious, cultural, and economic divides through the shared practice of adaptive leadership. We have cohorts in Metro Detroit and Metro Atlanta.
Cohort Learning
Facilitated through a 10-month cohort program, IAPS helps train, equip, and energize leaders to face real-world community issues in three contexts: personal, congregational and civic. Cohorts gather for an Intensive training, monthly cohort meetings and a final Summit. All traveling expenses are covered.
